FABLAB n. m. (fabrication laboratory). A Fab Lab is a technical prototyping platform for innovation and invention, providing stimulus for local entrepreneurship. A Fab Lab is also a platform for learning and innovation: a place to play, to create, to learn, to mentor, to invent.
To be a Fab Lab means connecting to a global community of learners, educators, technologists, researchers, makers and innovators- -a knowledge sharing network that spans 30 countries and 24 time zones.
ROBOT Project (Octobre 2017 - Octobre 2018)
In order to create a fablab in Montbrison or its surroundings, we have started a robot project that will allow an initiation to logic, with simple programming via a simplified interface.
This robot is based on an Arduino Nano, infrared sensors and step-by-step motors.The aim is to validate a hardware configuration in order to create a prototype capable of carrying out different workshops (line monitoring, various drawings, labyrinth etc.).
The chassis, wheels and various parts of the robot were made using a 3d printer.
